I Reached 100 Followers Writing Sports Content

When I first discovered Medium, it seemed very difficult to reach 100 followers. Due to my struggles, I plan on giving some tips and tricks I learned along the way!

  1. Write, Write, Write!

I wish I could write more, but with my busy schedule as a college student, it is hard to fit this in! However, it is possible when you are passionate about something! My suggestion is roughly 1 article a week, if not more.

2. Search Topics You are Interested in

For me, I searched topics like “sports,” “NBA,” and “basketball.” Engage with all of the recent articles in these topics and follow the writers! Many of these writers in topics of your interest are also trying to get 100 followers!

3. Read Other Tips and Tricks for 100 Followers

There are a ton of amazing articles people have written about how they got to 100 followers. Do not forget to engage with these articles, many people in the comments section are willing to support you!

4. Don’t Give Up

When you are first starting on Medium, it can seem impossible to get 100 followers. Take Medium seriously, as if it were a side hustle.

Thank you for everyone that supported me. I plan on producing quality sports coverage for a long time on Medium! I am confident I will be successful in this field one day!

Don’t be afraid to ask any questions about the 100-follower process on Medium you may have!
